Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a substance that promotes healing using the patient’s own blood. Plasma is a component of your blood that contains growth factors, compounds, and nutrients, that take advantage of your blood’s natural healing properties to repair damaged cartilage, tendons, ligaments, muscle, and bone. It’s also used to reduce pain. The blood is spun around in a centrifuge machine to separate the it into different components – red cells, white cells, platelets, and plasma which all have different grades to it.
This promotes skin tightening and rejuvenation, reducing fine lines and wrinkles, as well as hair growth.
Areas Covered: Chest, hands, arms, stomach, hips, thighs, bum (stretch marks only) and scalp.
What are the pre-requirements?
Suitable Healthcare Practitioners, SPMU practitioner 6 months+, Progression Route into Aesthetics or NVQ Level 3 Beauty therapy or equivalent.

What time is the course?
This course is a 1 day course and runs from 10am – 4pm. If you’re completely Phlebotomy the course will run from 9am.
What do I need to wear?
Salon/clinic wear, no open toe shoes and no jewellery below the elbow.
